Greetings from the Dean
The School is dedicated to achieving excellence in professional education, research that informs social work practice and social policy, and public
engagement. We emphasize three themes: research-based practice, a commitment to diversity, and a focus on the reciprocal interactions between people
and their ecological systems. Our BSW program prepares students for generalist practice and leadership in diverse settings. We prepare MSW students for advanced practice in mental health, school social work, child welfare, and health. Our
doctoral students assume leadership roles in social work research and education.
The faculty are highly rated teachers and publish their research regularly in major social work journals. Our Children and Family Research Center is a special partnership between the state child welfare agency and the School.
Let us provide you with more information on the learning opportunities we offer.
